About the stone:
The Number Eight (Number 8 or #8) turquoise mine in Eureka County, Nevada was discovered in 1925. Today, the mine is closed for turquoise extraction and is primarily a gold mining site. Number Eight turquoise is known for its golden brown to black matrix patterns. The stones range from light to deep blue and sometimes have greenish tints. Turquoise is a sacred and highly valued stone in Native American cultures, symbolizing healing, protection, and a deep connection to nature, particularly the sky and water.
