About the strand:

Don’t let the size fool you - The Sweetpea Strand is petite, but its color pops loud and clear. It is made with small, rough AAA Ithica turquoise nuggets direct from the Kingman Mine in Arizona and a mix of sterling silver round beads, corrugated round beads, and teardrop-shaped beads. The bead layout gives the illusion of tiny bows strung together. Dainty and playful, this one makes a great first turquoise piece or a sweet addition to a growing collection. It's a wonderful stacker strand.

About the stone:

Kingman Ithica turquoise is a variety of turquoise mined in the Kingman Mining District of Arizona. The term "Ithica turquoise" (or "Ithaca turquoise") is commonly used to describe turquoise sourced from the broader Ithaca Peak area of the Kingman deposit. It can encompass a range of colors and matrix patterns.

Turquoise is a sacred and highly valued stone in Native American cultures, symbolizing healing, protection, and a deep connection to nature, particularly the sky and water. It represents good fortune, strength, and spiritual communication. This stone is integral to ceremonies, rituals, and everyday life, where Native American tribes use it for healing, safeguarding, and even rituals intended to bring about rain.
